Cogent Action are sustainable transformation specialists, committed to supporting the realisation of a healthier, more resilient, low carbon, high growth economy. They help established businesses to become more sustainable, and in turn help sustainable businesses to take market share.
Their services range from identifying actions, quantifying the present, training and education to making real change happen and visualising the future.
THE BRIEF
Our brief was to work with Cogent Action to create an exciting logo, brand and website which reflected their action on the environment through business change and consultancy. This involved developing a fresh visual language that reflected the environmental issues faced by businesses globally, yet had a modern approachable, collaborative feel.
AN OUTSIDE PERSPECTIVE
The concept for the logo we created derived from the idea of looking at our world, Earth from an outside perspective.
To illustrate this into a simplified icon for use within the logo, we used the 27.3 day cycle of the Moon passing the Earth, putting the two planets into size perspective. Viewing the Earth and Moon like this shows the fragility of Earth in comparison with our Galaxy and the Universe, making us reflect on how important Earth is to the human race and life as a whole.
THE BRAND
The new brand was rolled out across various materials including a new website, social media content, posters, leaflets, presentation documents and adverts.
