Utility Warehouse is a multi-utility provider based in London, England. It is the brand name for its parent company, Telecom Plus, with Utility Warehouse operating as a separate brand. It currently handles over 500,000 customer accounts with the help of over 40,000 independent distributors. Utility Warehouse supplies customers with landline telephony, mobile telephony, broadband, gas, and electricity. The Utility Warehouse brand is the primary engine of revenue generation for Telecom Plus.
Utility Warehouse has no shops and does not advertise on television or in the national press. The company has focused on word-of-mouth as a primary means of promotion, and offers bonuses to distributors who recruit new customers and distributors.
Create Onsight were commissioned to design and produce artwork for 3 postcards, to be used by distributors when visiting individuals who were looking to switch providers for either Phone & Broadband or Energy. As part of the switch over, Utility Warehouse offer to provide free lightbulbs to be fitted throughout the whole house, which formed the content of the third leaflet.
Working within the strict brand guidelines of Utility Warehouse, the postcards were designed to promote the benefits of switching suppliers in an easy-to-read format that highlighted key benefits. The postcards were design to be left behind as a reminder.
